Mike Martinez is a native Taoseno well known for his love of nature. Inspired by God he expresses his love of nature by enhancing beautiful pieces of wood into exquisite pieces of art that can be admired by all that see his work.  This santero is very gifted. The wood itself has the magic and Mike brings out the mystery behind it. That is why his work is so unique and powerful. Mike is thankful everyday for the gift to be able to do this type of art. He has been a mountain man for most of his life and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and of spending time in the mountains. Working with wood products for so long he was able to find a honey hole and get first pick at all the wonderful pieces. The wood he uses for his creations is all hand selected by Mike and his family.  Mike hauls and mills all the material he uses for carvings and furniture.  And is able to take special orders on select pieces.
